A Bit of Me(me)

A Bit of Me(me) is hosted every Saturday at There's A Book. Every week, we are asked a question that lets us get to know each other a little better.

This week's question is:

What is one thing you are really NOT good at?

I am really NOT good at understanding natural sciences. Ugh...I was good at math in high school, but the rest - biology, chemistry, physics - always defeated me. I still just don't "get" stuff related to natural sciences. I LOVE watching The Myth Busters, for example, but I don't really understand how those guys do something, I just see the results, haha. I'm a humanist to the bone.

Now that I have this off my chest, I feel better.;)

Math has always been the one thing I am a total failure at. But I did well with biology and even made a career out of nursing for a while. But I am definitely more into the arts. Have a great weekend.

Oh I do not get math, or those formulas x2+657684756 drives me insane

Oh, yes, math...not a good subject for me, either, nor the HARD sciences. Chemistry and Physics...not my thing!

But I shared about something ELSE I'm not good at here:

Myth Busters is such a good show. But like you I don't really get the science stuff.

I was never good at science and math.

I can handle Life Sciences, but particle physics really kills me:)

I think that we all have one subject or another in school that just didn't sink in.

I was a misguided Biology major! I did well with that, obviously, and even general chemistry and most math. Organic chemistry, any kind of physics, and geometry kicked my butt. I don't have the ability to think spatially that I think all those require.

For me it's not even so much that I don't understand, it's that I'm just not that interested. Ugh. Isn't that sad? My hubby could watch marathons of Myth Busters while I can only tolerate a few at a time.

I totally have that problem, both with the natural sciences and math! Which is weird, because I love the history of things, people, whatever - I just don't get the science behind things like carbon dating or preserving them. My brain just doesn't work that way, I guess!

Yep, Science is on my long list of things I stink at! LOL
