June Stats

June was a good book month for me, I'd say. I was busy, but I read 7 novels nonetheless. If I had more free time, I'd read at least 7 more, but I'm glad I got to read as much as I did, as I mostly read only in the evenings. Also, I bought 12 new books!!! As a person who often borrows books from libraries, I don't buy many new books, but in June I went a little book crazy and now I have 12 new gems at home. Yay!

BOOKS I READ IN JUNE:
Wyndspelle by Aola Vandergriff (borrowed)
The Bell Tower of Wyndspelle by Aola Vandegriff (borrowed)
Wydnspelle's Child by Aola Vandergriff (borrowed)
Dead as a Doornail by Charlaine Harris (own)
Godiva by Nerys Jones (own)
The Lady of the Sea by Rosalind Miles (own)
Tea with Jane Austen by Kim Wilson (own)

BOOKS I BOUGHT IN JUNE:
Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris
All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris
The Counterfeit Guest by Rose Melikan
The Rose of Sebastopol by Katharine McMahon
A Way Through the Woods by Katharine McMahon
Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman
Hearts Awakening by Delia Parr
Tea with Jane Austen by Kim Wilson
The Boy with the Cuckoo-Clock Heart by Mathias Malzieu
The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry
Kissed by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler
The Girl with Glass Feet by Ali Shaw

THE BEST BOOK I READ IN JUNE:

Wyndspelle by Aola Vandergriff. All of the books I read in June were great, but Wyndspelle stands out for me. I really loved it, I hadn't read a historical Gothic romance in a long while.

MY FAVOURITE READING PLACE IN JUNE:
I discovered a new reading place and as weird as this may sound, it's my mom's bedroom.;) Really, its location in the house is perfect. That portion of our house is in the shade most of the afternoon, so my mom's bedroom is perfectly cool in the evening. Of course, I can read in her bedroom for only a limited period of time, it is still HER room, but I make the most of that one hour. My own room is pretty hot until 10 in the evening, and I can't read in the living room with the TV on, so yep, my mom's bedroom.;)

PLANS FOR JULY:

To NOT buy 12 new books. I am without a job currently, so I must not spend money on too many books. I have my dear old library to borrow new books if I need to, but with 12 new purchases and unread books from before, I don't think I'll need to go to the library often.

Oh I need to make the goal not to buy any book in July, but I know it will never happen. In fact one of the book I want is Wyndspelle (see you are one who is helping to corrupt me)

Oh, yay, Jan, I'm glad I convinced you about Wyndspelle!;) And we'll see how well I'll keep my promise not to buy any books, haha.

Ayesha, it's fun to do a recap of a month.

I'm excited to read your review of The Rose of Sebastopol-I've been wanting to read it for a while now. And I'm on the look out for Wyndspelle although I don't know if I'll be able to find a copy.

@ Bookworm: I can't wait to start reading the novel! As for Wyndspelle, it's not easy to find the novels, as the trilogy was written in the 1970s. But I'm sure some libraries have it, and used copies are available on Amazon, Goodreads and so on, if you're interested.
