July Stats

I almost forgot about my July stats! I am fixing this now by writing this post.

In July, I read 6 books. Not as many as I'd expected to read initially, but I'm happy with the number, since I read at least one book a week.

I READ:
Hearts Awakening by Delia Parr (bought)
The Rose of Sebastopol by Katharine McMahon (bought)
The Girl with Glass Feet by Ali Shaw (bought)
The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry (bought)
The Boy with the Cuckoo-Clock Heart by Mathias Malzieu (bought)
The Truth about Melody Browne by Lisa Jewell (borrowed)

I BOUGHT only two books, yay for me:
The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern
Emma Brown by Clare Boylan

I RECEIVED 5 BOOKS FOR FREE, from my amazing friend Suzana at Bookalicious Ramblings:
Splendour by Anna Godbersen
Things I Wish I'd Known by Linda Green
The Horse Dancer by Jojo Moyes
A Reluctant Cinderella by Alison Bond
Kissing Mr Wrong by Sarah Duncan
A Friend of the Family by Lauren Grodstein

I joined NetGalley
and received a book from them:
Wildthorn by Jane Eagland

FAVOURITE BOOK I READ IN JULY
:
The Girl with Glass Feet by Ali Shaw

LEAST FAVOURITE BOOK I READ IN JULY:
I loved all of them, so I can't choose a least favourite one in July.

July was a great month for books. I hope August will be even better. In August, I am starting my personal challenge - I have to read 20 American classics during August 2010 and August 2011. I started the challenge with To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

I did my first author interview with Mary Lydon Simonsen and I started my first giveaway (on-going, ends August 5!).

Sounds like a successful month - yay! And of course you can name me, I'm not hiding anything. :) Hope you enjoy the books I gave you (hey, you forgot Splendour, the awesomest book of the bunch :D) and I have a few more ready for you! :)

I had a pretty great book month too, although sadly August hasn't started so well.

I'm not that big a fan of Cecelia Ahern but I adored The book Of Tomorrow. Wishing you as good a month as last.

Cool books! Good luck on your American classics challenge! The books from Suzana look really good-lots of fun chick-lit.
